Tapeora Terms of Service Effective 2026-04-13

Terms of Service

These Terms govern your access to and use of Tapeora. Tapeora is intended for users aged 17 and older.

By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Contents

1) The Service Section 1

Tapeora is a tool for crafting DIY tutorials and documenting creative processes. You can capture project steps with photos and written instructions, assemble multi-page tutorial books, and keep a record of your creative journey.

We may add, remove, or change features at any time. We may also suspend or stop the Service (in whole or in part) at any time, subject to applicable law.

2) Accounts Section 2

You may need an account to use certain features. You agree to provide accurate information and keep your account secure.

  • Provide accurate and current information.
  • Maintain the security of your account and credentials.
  • Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access or use.

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

3) Your Content Section 3

"User Content" means any content you submit, upload, or generate through the Service, including photos, text, and tutorial instructions.

You retain ownership of your User Content. To operate the Service, you grant Tapeora a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and use your User Content solely to provide and maintain the Service, perform requested features you initiate, and enforce these Terms and keep the Service safe.

This license ends when you delete the User Content from the Service or delete your account, except that copies may persist briefly in backups/logs for security and integrity, and we may retain/disclose information where required by law.

You are responsible for your User Content, including ensuring you have all necessary rights and that it does not violate any laws or third-party rights.

4) Acceptable Use Section 4

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

  • Use the Service in a way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
  • Infringe, misappropriate, or violate the rights of others (including intellectual property and privacy rights).
  • Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or related systems.
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent security or access controls (except where prohibited by law).
  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data in a way that burdens infrastructure or violates these Terms.
  • Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation.

We may remove content, restrict accounts, or suspend access if we believe you have violated these Terms.

5) Optional Server-Side / AI-Assisted Features Section 5

The Service may offer optional features that process your uploaded images and/or text on Tapeora-operated servers (for example, generating, formatting, or enhancing tutorial content).

You control whether to use these features. If you choose to use them, you authorize us to process the inputs you submit to provide the requested output. Such inputs (and any generated outputs) are processed on Tapeora-operated servers and are not shared with any third party. You agree not to upload unlawful content or content you do not have rights to use.

6) Intellectual Property Section 6

The Service (including its software, design, and trademarks) is owned by Tapeora or its licensors and protected by applicable laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted to you, Tapeora reserves all rights.

If you provide suggestions or feedback, you grant Tapeora the right to use it without restriction or compensation.

7) Third-Party Services Section 7

The Service may interact with third-party services or device features (for example, operating system permissions). Tapeora is not responsible for third-party services that you access independently of the Service.

8) Termination Section 8

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, we are required to do so by law, or your use creates risk or harm.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service stops. Sections that should survive will survive.

9) Disclaimers Section 9

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPEORA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any outputs will be accurate, complete, or suitable for your purposes.

10) Limitation of Liability Section 10

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAPEORA WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tapeora's total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid (if any) to use the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

11) Indemnification Section 11

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tapeora from and against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

12) Privacy Section 12

Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.

13) Changes to These Terms Section 13

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the effective date when changes are posted. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice as required by law. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14) Governing Law; Binding Arbitration Section 14

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Tapeora Team primarily operates, excluding conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by final and binding arbitration administered in that jurisdiction, except where prohibited by law. You and Tapeora waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action, to the extent permitted by law.
